i have a kodak? and the lens is not opening plz help me i need to use it like really bad? ok i have a kodak v530 and the lens thing will not come out when i turn it on, then it will just shut off..n i think that it might be from when i took it to the beach but im not sure...any suggestions>? and the batteries are just fine nothing wrong with them Ahh. The beach. That's an excellent clue as to what's wrong. Sand is probably the most damaging thing to these tiny digicams. You'll need to send it back to Kodak to have it repaired. There really is nothing that you can do yourself. The tiny gears and mechanisms inside that move the lens are easily clogged by one tiny grain of sand. for what its worth- you're not alone. If you are a regular beach goer- you might consider a camera like the Pentax W10.
